Event-Works Webinar 2020

Wiz-Team to conduct a series of webinar on Event-Works modules on April 8th, 2020.


Event-Works is a web-based event management platform - designed and hosted in Switzerland. Developed by a team of experts specialised in meeting real event management needs, Event-Works and its companion apps cover the full range of event services from online registration and payment to transportation, accommodation, accreditation, access control and ticketing to surveys and networking. Take a closer look:

Online registration

  • Define workflows for registration groups (staff, sponsors, media, delegates, etc.)
  • Create fields and value lists and use them in your registration forms in multiple languages
  • Edit the graphical theme to match your corporate or event identity and branding


  • Creation of accommodation rules
  • Adding of hotels, room types and setup of initial stock allotment
  • Delegates register online and submit an accommodation request
  • Management of multiple guests (including guests arriving on different dates), cancellations, changes and direct reporting with your hotels


  • Define accreditation types, groups and functions
  • Attribute colour coding for every function and setup rules on a per function basis
  • Create dynamic accreditations and block or re-issue one in case of loss or theft
  • Module pairs with access control (see above)


  • Create email templates
  • Insert a specific banner, merge fields and multiple attachments
  • Send emails to either a specific attendee or a group of attendees
  • Monitor emails being sent to your delegates

Custom reports

  • Create your own reports, assign fields, filters and default sort rules
  • Use your report with our change tracking tool to monitor changes to your delegate registrations
  • Edit your data directly in the report, either individually or by doing mass updates
  • Share your report with stakeholders (hotels, local agencies) so they have a read-only access to live data


  • Based on Microsoft Word, create a document template (accommodation confirmation, visa invitation letter, etc.)
  • Import your document in Event-Works and merge Word elements with fields containing delegate data
  • Download/email your template for one or many participant(s)
  • Receive the result file in either Word or PDF format
  • Use our communications module to assign multiple documents to a single email template

Gate - Access control app

  • Works with our web platform and a dedicated app (Android or iOS)
  • The app can be used in online or offline mode
  • Control or monitor accesses either at a global level (your event) or per session
  • Control the "In" and "Out" to monitor in real time how many delegates are present in any venue
  • Module pairs with accreditations (see below)

ToGo - Delegate app

  • Available for iOS and Android.
  • Works in both online/offline modes for multiple events and languages.

This app provides following features:

  • My registration (read-only)
  • My programme (sessions and activities I have registered for)
  • Overall programme
  • My access code (used with the access control module for paperless accreditations)
  • Speakers
  • Attendees (list of attendees who have agreed to be listed here)
  • Social network links
  • Event information

SitPlan - Seating & check-in app

  • Venue seating plan and attendee check-in app integrated to Event-Works
  • Works either online or offline
  • Design your venue floor plan, add tables/other objects and seat delegates
  • During the event, check-in attendees and place them at their table
  • Online reporting available via the Event-Works platform

Membership / Profiles (CRM)

  • Event-Works can be used with or without our CRM
  • When disabled, every event is a separate entity
  • When enabled, every delegate has his own profile and single login
  • Event managers have then access to attendance statistics and most personal information are already pre-filled
  • Used with the online payment module, membership fees and payments can also be managed
  • The CRM also contains its own implementation of custom reports and communications


  • Search for other delegates by multiple criteria and request to connect with another delegate (upon prior agreement of delegates)
  • Upon acceptance of the request, they are in contact with each other
  • Coming soon (fall 2017): Issue meeting requests between users of the networking tool

Online payment

  • Create a payment grid taking into account registration groups (delegates, students, sponsors, etc.), registration type (Event, Event & Forum) and registration time (early bird, standard and on-site fees)
  • Add paid / free activities, that delegates can choose from
  • Manage accommodation costs, either on a per night basis or as a registration package
  • Delegates can pay online using PayPal, a merchant account, bank transfer or cash on-site
  • They can then download their invoice and receipt
  • Management of payment deposits possible

Sessions and activities

  • Define session types (Social, Business, Workshop), rooms and speakers
  • Create sessions with capacity considerations, add waiting lists, choose their visibility (per delegate type), define related cost and business rules
  • Delegates' online registrations for sessions
  • Manage waiting lists per session
  • Download of delegates' personalised agenda, as well as a calendar file to add their activities to Outlook, iCal or GoogleCalendar

Users and roles

  • Create roles for your staff, local agencies, volunteers, hostesses
  • Define precisely what/who they can see and what they can do
  • Add users and assign them to one or multiple roles
