New partnership between Wiz-Team and TPT Hub to boost events industry

Wiz-Team and TPT Hub are joining forces to provide integrated, user-friendly and innovative turnkey solutions to the events industry. Both companies have decades of on-the-ground experience at major international events and share a common goal of leveraging the power of technology to optimise and empower event planning and operations teams all over the world.

TPT Hub provides software for transport and fleet operations management that simplifies fleet management, communication and logistics. Their forward-thinking software delivers intelligent solutions to the events world and can be customised to specific needs.

New to Wiz-Team – Meet Valentina

We’re delighted to welcome a new member to the team! Valentina Rios, a native of Argentina, joins our Operations team as Delivery Manager, starting next month. She brings to Wiz-Team a wide range of skills, experiences, and languages (three!) from her career as an analyst and project delivery specialist.

Managing a variety of business insights and data projects both at a global bank and a consulting firm cemented Valentina’s passion for developing, designing and delivering complex and customised solutions at the highest level.

In 2018, she caught the major international event ‘bug’ as a member of the Accreditation team at the Summer Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires. She has since successfully worked on planning and delivering a range of main functional areas at sports events like the Longines Masters and the Games of the Small States of Europe.

A life-long learner, Valentina is always striving to absorb new things. She loves travelling, meeting new people and collecting pins of which she has 100 so far, and may be open for a trade!

Wiz-Team develops revolutionary Sport Entries Module

Wiz-Team is currently working on a new, revolutionary Sport Entries Module, with improved functions. The smart solution will be available in 2021.

In close collaboration with its delivery partner IGNITX and their experts in Sport Entries, Wiz-Team has been working hard since April to review and upgrade the sport entries process. The new module, which is part of Wiz-Team’s all-in-one event management platform Event-Works,  will benefit multi-sport as well as single sport events.

“For this innovative solution we have worked together with IGNITX and their experts, led by IGNITX Co-Founder Sport Entries expert Li Neo Tay, who have a combined experience of over 20 years spanning over 15 different events, including the Olympic and Youth Olympic Games, says  Wiz-Team CEO and Founder Johann Woringer. “We are now deciphering the business process to adapt and improve Event-Works and will begin development very soon. This new entries module will be fully customisable from the user interface which will make it easy to configure.”

Two EU institutions adopt Wiz-Team’s event registration tool

The European Commission has recently decided to use Wiz-Team’s software solution ‘Event-Works’ as the “Corporate” event management and registration tool for all their meetings. An exciting development, which follows Wiz-Team’s already existing collaboration with certain departments of these renown institutions.

“We are thrilled that the functionality, reliability and user-friendliness of our event management tool ‘Event-Works’ have convinced our partners at the EU. We look forward to keep contributing to the successful delivery of their various important event,” says Johann Woringer, Wiz-Team CEO & Founder.

On top of the European Commission, the European Parliament also started using Wiz-Team’s platform for its meetings. Wiz-Team recently travelled to Brussels to conduct on-site training with the system users.

For both institutions, Wiz-Team organised a demo for on-site badge printing with its partner fielddrive, showcasing the integration of their registration and event management tool with fielddrive self-badge printing kiosks.

Another great person to join Wiz-Team – meet Danielle!

At Wiz-Team, we are all about great people! We are therefore excited to announce that Danielle Lopez will be joining our team as of November. Danielle will become our new Head of Strategy & Business Optimization and, as such, support us in developing new products and services. 

Danielle has it all: a scientific mind, a positive and competitive spirit, vast event experience and… an impressive collection of achievements from her time as an elite softball player (including a silver medal from the PanAm Games)!

With an academic background, Danielle served for 6 years in different event management, strategic planning, and operational roles at USOPC. Danielle has planned and delivered on over 10 multi-sport and international events from the athlete, the National Olympic Committee, and the Local Organising Committee perspective. 

In less than 2 months, you can meet her in our offices in Lausanne or in the virtual Wiz-Team space. We’re sure she’ll be all too happy to get your recommendations on what fun outdoor activities to do in the beautiful Swiss Alps!

The opportunity to look back at the 2019 financial results with a solid revenue increase as well as defining our strategic plan towards 2025. We are glad that our company continues to grow, expanding our customer portfolio, and also increasing our staff and teams. The opportunity to publicly thank our advisory board members Eckhard Frank, Ciaran Quinn, Keith Carter and Nick Barraud for their valuable input. Your advice is pushing the boundaries of our company and helped us position Wiz-Team where it is now. We are very fortunate to have such a great board contributing to the definition of a unique vision for world class event management solutions. As the founder and CEO of Wiz-Team, Johann has been a part of this adventure long before the start of the organisation 10 years ago. This dynamic and fast-growing company was born out of gap in the market Johann and his colleagues experienced as event managers in the early 2000s.  With little tools available to effectively manage the demands and challenges of data management for complex events, they decided to build their own solution. 

Shortly thereafter Johann created Event-Works and later Wiz-Team with the vision to deliver world class digital solutions built by event professionals for event professionals. From Wiz-Team headquarters in his hometown Lausanne, he oversees a global network of developers and experts, who support the organisations mission to empower event professionals through smart, intuitive, and innovative digital solutions. 

Johann’s expertise in event data management is outstanding.  He has delivered innovative event management solutions to every Olympic Games edition since 2004 alongside a range of other international events. Having worked across many sectors, including sports federations, the medical congress industry, corporate companies, and government agencies, he has acquired a wide-ranging background and an exceptional experience in various types and sizes of events. Before he set up Wiz-Team, Johann specialised in web and database development, as well as project management in the luxury industry, and teaching.

Johann holds an MBA in international management and speaks English, French and some German. In his spare time, he enjoys scuba diving, discovering the world on a motorbike, gaming and exploring new technologies.
